This was a great way to explore Aspen's downtown with a very knowledgeable local and learn more about the history of the town.

  Very interesting! Some spooky stories and fascinating history. Dean is very well-versed in the land and history and adds a nice flare to his storytelling.

Dean masterfully told multiple stories at once: the history of the town... read more (from the Ute people to silver miners, hippies and today), contemporary development and how town policies support the arts, nature and full-time year-round worker residents. It gave me a fuller appreciation of Aspen and was a great way to start my weeklong stay.

Just a couple blocks off Main Street we walked dish to Hallam Lake and then walked along Roaring Fork River. Dean was extremely knowledgeable about the area and answered all are questions. We then walked over to John Denver Sanctuary. Wow that was fabulous. This was an excellent tour. So insightful. Highly recommend it.

  A look at the people who built many of the buildings which still form a large part of Aspen’s downtown area today. - Interesting, easy walk around Aspen.
It turned out there was just me and my friend for the morning’s tour so we probably didn’t need the full 90 mins but... read more we were able to ask our own questions and look inside the fire station at the photographs and memorabilia there which was very interesting.
Otherwise good stories about some of the first miners and investors in what became the city of Aspen.
